We are working on a dining table in the workshop this week that I just had to share with you. It’s a round pedestal table to seat eight. We are building it for a ‘cottage’ here in Kennebunkport, on Ocean Avenue.
Built of solid cherry, the turned pedestal on this table is 12” in diameter. The turning was created for us by a local turning wizard, Steve Hanson, to our exact specifications. It’s beautiful. And heavy.

Ethan has created the remaining parts of the table, including the thick, sturdy legs…

…with their elegant brass feet.

The tabletop, still in its infancy, is leaning in the workshop awaiting its turn on the workbench. The diameter of the top is 72”.

The table owners visited today and were able to see all of this coming together. It’s always such a pleasure to be able to show works in progress to our customers.
If you’re ever in the neighborhood, we hope you’ll stop in and see what we’re up to.
