First Light Cottage at Hidden Pond

Little Cottage in the Woods

In preparation for some spring and summer advertising for 2013, we had ourselves a little photo shoot this past week. We were grateful to be allowed to utilize one of the adorable cottages at Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport. Hidden Pond is a resort of cottages; each one different and decorated in a unique style by a local interior decorator or designer. We chose a cottage called First Light. It was a beautiful, sunny, fall day.

Our goal was to walk away with some great images of our Rivers Console Table and Rivers Coffee Table. We also brought along a few other pieces and were able to get images of those too. The images here were taken by me, with my own camera and don’t even compare to the professional ones. But I think you’ll get the idea.

This particular decoration, which we found on the cottage’s porch table, was nicknamed, “The Dude.”

We worked with Chris Smith of CA Smith Photography, a local photographic genius.

We also asked our friend, Lana Wescott, of Lana Wescott Events, to come along. Lana was a huge help as our stylist for the day.

In a quick two and a half hours, we got the shots we needed, and many more. We commented all day long on the beautiful day outside, and how lovely it would be to stay in this sweet little cottage for a few days.

We brought a couple of display/prop items with us, for which we should give credit:
Tall, green and ivory glass vessel (seen on the mantle): a one-of-a-kind item for sale from our showroom, made by Ben Coombs of Portland Glassblowing.
A painting entitled “View South From Cranberry Island #1”, by Henry Isaacs (hanging over our Rivers Console Table): also available for sale in our showroom, on loan from Maine Art Gallery.
Everything else you see in these images (aside from our tables) is a part of the First Light cottage.
