Lithgow Public Library

Augusta, Maine, 2016 

White oak and maple furniture built for the library, undergoing a major renovation and addition. All pieces were designed to relate closely to the existing 1920’s furniture and the significant architecture of the building. Building architects: Johnson Roberts Associates, Somerville, MA. Project included reading and study tables, carrels, periodical shelving, end panels and canopy tops, children’s room carrels and shelving.

In my view, Bill Huston's furniture projects a level of quality and taste in its design, craftsmanship and finish not apparent in others I've seen here and elsewhere...I can also attest to the care his workers give their workplace, their materials and every detail of the entire woodworking process.
