We are thrilled to share the news that Huston & Company’s Balance Dining Table, designed by Saer, was named ‘Best in Original Design’ at this weekend’s Maine Wood 2018!The biennial juried exhibition, which highlights the work and creativity of the Maine woodworking community, is conducted by the Center for Furniture Crafstmanship in Rockport and co-sponsored by the Maine Crafts Association, Maine Woodturners, and the Maine Woodworkers Association.
Bill and Saer had the opportunity to travel up to Rockport together on Friday night to attend the exhibition’s opening celebration at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship’s Messler Gallery, where they also had the chance to meet the jurors and their fellow Maine craftspeople. The Balance Dining Table was one of 91 submissions received from 47 Maine-based artists and artisans.
The Balance Dining Table, along with the other pieces of furniture and sculpture featured in the exhibition, will be on display in the Messler Gallery through April 11th.
